SNL: Jon Hamm/Michael Buble

I don’t think I’ll ever be completely fair with Saturday Night Live. After being exposed to the great sketch comedy shows The State and Mr. Show, mostly anything SNL does will pale in comparison. But what can you expect from a show that has to run twenty 90-minute installments over an eight month span? Whatever, *I* didn’t tell them to do it that often, for thirty-five years, live every single time.

However, last night’s episode featured a set of bits that reminded me of Mr. Show in the happy happy joy joy way – a running gag occuring in more than one sketch. Read more…

The Biggest Loser: Couples Episode 4

I know, I know. Where’s the third episode? I was on vacation and while vacationing I don’t watch The Biggest Loser until I get home and see it a week too late. I could tell you what happened though, people lost weight while confronting serious emotional issues and getting yelled at by trainers. Who went home?

This Week in Television: January 23-29, 2010

Goodbye Salvatore Romano. There was an odd lack of outrage over this on the Twitter.

Goodbye Ugly Betty.

CBS wont air this commercial for a gay dating website during the Super Bowl. I’m sure that is the last we will be hearing of this.

You wanted it and now you got it: More hours of American Idol! What’s that? You wanted ski boots? Oh… Read more…

I love Betty-heavy episodes because little by little, we get to see what kind of person she really is. Not a mindless housewife but a full blown crazy person with the mind of a child!

A Letter to Bad Robot Productions

Dear Bad Robot Productions,

I have been a huge supporter of your television program Lost for several years now. Every aspect of the production of the show, from its writing to the cinematography, have been nothing but spectacular and clearly the work of individuals that are at the top of their game. Read more…

Better Off Ted: Mess of a Salesman

So here we are: the final episode of Better Off Ted. Sort of – ABC still holds in their Mickey Mouse hands two more episodes that were produced, but they haven’t decided when to air them, if at all. Ruh oh. It’s looking like either those moments of comedy goodness will show up in the summer with the rest of the bastard TV shows or appear exclusively on the DVD. So basically, tonight was it. Probably. I’m a commitaphobe.  Don’t try and tie me down ladies. Read more…

vlcsnap-2010-01-26-15h47m53s186

Previously on Chuck…Awesome is even more awesome than we thought (except when it comes to lying and spying), The Ring is back, Morgan has been promoted to ASSistant MANager, and Superman Brandon Routh joins the cast as Superagent Daniel Shaw.

This week, Chuck is sent to Paris for his first solo mission. Can he pull it off? Will it be a disaster? Probably both. Here we go…

The Bad Girls Club: 4×07 – Bad Break

Previously on the Bad Girls Club…Kate’s boyfriend has a big dick but doesn’t know how to use it, Lexie is a sloppy drunk, Kendra slapped Flo, and Natalie spit on Kate.

I found this episode to be disappointing. I was hoping for way more drama. Even the fight was a disappointment.
