Does anyone besides the smug lesbians know how to pronounce all the places these people go? Nope. The worst part? They don’t even realize that it’s pronounced “Say-shells” not “Say-chiles”. Dummies.
Fortunately for every team except who is in first with a sizable lead, they all get on the same plane to Seychelles. Some teams are smart and book as close to the front of the plane as they can before deciding to eat something. Remarkably, one of these teams is Brent and Caite.
Once they get to the island of Mahe, they must find a kiosk containing their clue and grab a number off the box as well. The number indicate the order is which they will fly my helicopter to the island of La Digue and find their next clue. The kicker is that the first three to depart leave a full hour before the next three teams. Suck it nerds!
Brent and Caite, Steve and Ali, and Dan and Jordan are the first to La Digue and they get their Detour. They have a choice between turtle toddle or ox trot. In turtle toddle they have to lure a bajillion year old tortoise out of a pen using a banana and across a field then, bring a bunch of bananas to a market to get their clue. In ox trot, they have to fill a cart with coconuts and use an ox to pull the cart to the same market to get their clue.
Steve and Ali were the only team to successfully complete turtle toddle. Later Brandy and Carol did choose it but after a poor tortoise choice, abandoned and went for the ox. Even though Brent and Caite were the first to arrive on the island, they screwed up and left one of their coconuts back at the field. This pushes them back into the middle of the pack but they are not alone in their troubles. Jet and Cord and then Brandy and Carol encounter the same issue. A single coconut left back.
Once they delivered the goods they got their next clue to take a boat out to St. Pierre Island. Once they get close to shore they find a marked buoy. Here is their Road Block. They have to dive into the water and find a crate with a bunch of bottles. They have to untie the bottle and bring it back to the boat, then the boat will lead them ashore. Once there, they have to assemble the puzzle inside the bottle.
Every team does this without issue, except the cowboys. They didn’t bring their bottle ashore! They just so happened to find the Pit Stop where Phil informs them they have to get their bottle and fix their mistake before checking in. It becomes a race to the finish between the cowboys and Carol and Brandy. But lucky day for Jet and Cord, it’s a non-elimination leg.
Next week will be tough on them, but they have great luck sometimes so who knows, it could be a lot closer than anyone would think!
