United States of Tara: To Have And To Hold

Oh right this show. You know, I’ve been watching every week this season but never had the time and energy to bother writing about it. But considering that the broadcast networks’ Monday night shows are now on summer hiatus, we can give Tara and Chicken some well deserved love. What’s that? Next week is the season finale? Well fuck… Read more…

This Week In Television: May 22-30, 2010

R.I.P. Gary Coleman.

Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse spoke a little bit about the Lost finale.

Apparently in the Season 6 DVD we will see a Hurley/Ben on the island epilogue.

Why didn’t Desmond recognize Libby in the church? Just wanted to mention that.

Here’s a list of the summer premiere dates of cable shows and of network television shows. Highlights seem to be Hell’s Kitchen (June 1st), Losing It With Jillian (June 8th), True Blood (June 13rd), Futurama (June 24th), Louie (June 29th), Mad Men (July 25th), Weeds (August 16th) and Kids In The Hall: Death Comes To Town (August 20th). See? You don’t have to go outdoors in the summer! Read more…

Party Down: Not On Your Wife Opening Night

Welcome to the the-ATER! “Not On Your Wife Opening Night” centered around the Lyre of Oprheus Theater’s opening night celebration of their production of Not On Your Wife. That’s really punny. Haha and hehe’s abound. And much like the play itself, the Party Down caterers end up involved in a little farcical adventure of their own. Read more…

The Big Bang Theory: The Lunar Excitation

As far as season finales go, this one did leave us guessing. Are Leonard and Penny always going to be on and off? Has Sheldon found his perfect match? How did we get to these questions? Would you like to find out?

Glee: Theatricality

I loved this episode. I loved it so much. Did you just say “well why don’t you marry it then?” Well, thank you…you. I think I will.

Lost Resurrected: The End

And in the end, a good number of people were left disappointed with “The End.” They wanted confirmation that the polar bear came from Tunisia through the donkey wheel, instead of just putting 2 and 2 together (making 4, of course). They wanted to know why Dharma left at least one care package long after their involvement on the island had ended. They wanted to know why Sawyer’s hair was short in the original plane crash but was suddenly long in all of the flashbacks of it. For the viewers that thought they had been watching a better version of a science-fiction show like The X Files and ended up viewing a character study that happened to have science-fiction in it, the ending made them feel like they were suckered into watching Touched by an Angel. Yeah, that would make me a little angry too. Read more…

The Biggest Loser: Couples Finale

So let’s remember where we left off. They’ve all come a long way but we still don’t know if it’s Daris or Koli in the final three.

Breaking Bad: Fly

A few weeks ago Family Guy attempted an entire episode of just Brian and Stewie locked in one room. It was more ambitious than terrific. In most of “Fly” Walt and Jesse talk things out exclusively in the workplace. It was ambitious and excellent. Read more…

This Week In Television: May 15-21, 2010

All of the major networks released their 2010 fall schedules. Click on this sentence to see the entire fall lineup thanks to TV Guide.

CBS axed a lot of mediocre programs that got mediocre ratings, namely Cold Case, The Ghost Whisperer and The New Adventures of Old Christine. They also decided to pit The Big Bang Theory up against Community Thursdays at 8 EST. CBS also is putting the Shit My Dad Says Show on against 30 Rock.

NBC wont be bringing back Parks and Recreation until mid-season, just to make sure they make a stupid decision that shows they don’t respect quality once every two months. Read more…
