It’s getting to the end of the race and the pressure is on. The teams are struggling, with the exception of the cowboys who are just great at everything they do even when they aren’t.
This leg went really quick, so I’ll be really quick. A lot of time in this hour was spent on people being lost. Right from the pit stop too! They had to find the garden bridge but the language barrier makes this almost impossible since it isn’t what the people their call it.
Everyone has issues but they get there and are sent to the Longhua temple. They can’t use taxis so they have to maneuver through public transportation. Once they get to the temple, they have their Road Block. They have to count all the golden statues inside a temple. Caite is the moron she claims she isn’t and doesn’t get it on her first two tries. This is also where Mike and Louie have to do their Speed Bump. They have to do the Chinese tradition of throwing coins in a big incense burner. It wasn’t a hard task, they’re actually right on Dan and Jordan’s heels, the Speed Bump didn’t set them far back, as the brothers would have hoped.
Once they count correctly, they have to take a motorcycle ride across town to the Yuyuan Gardens where they get their Detour. The choices are pork chops or pork dumplings. In chops, they have to look through a stamp shop for a stamp with their name and a pig on it to show the shopkeeper for their clue. In dumplings they have to take ten orders across a busy square. Everyone chooses chops. Brent throws a hissy fit in the shop because he has to pee really bad. This team is so weird.
Brent and Caite find theirs first and the cowboys do almost immediately after, they aren’t far behind. They get their clue to find their Pit Stop at the Riverside Promenade. The cowboys actually get a cab first and pass Brent and Caite but rush hour traffic can be a bitch. Brent and Caite finish first.
No strangers to taxi trouble, Dan and Jordan once again find themselves at the will of their clueless driver but luckily for them, they make it before Mike and Louie who are eliminated from the race.
So next week is the finale so we’re back in the the US of A! No excuses about language barriers anymore now, so I wonder what Dan and Jordan’s excuse for losing will be?
