The Biggest Loser: Couples Episode 17

It is about time these guys start playing a game. We’re not here to make friends! Both sides are talking about how important it is for them to stick together and vote for themselves. They each have the fire to keep their alliances here. Is that going to be enough?

Nope!

Allison informs these guys that there is a red line this week. The loser for the week is the loser for the week. The bottom goes right home without a vote.

To help give the contestants a little motivation, Allison brings out some past winners. We are greeted with Helen from season seven and Eric from season two. Eric gained back all his weight. He helps the contestants out, what triggered his weight gain and his struggle to lose it again. He’s a great example for the contestants, that their journey doesn’t end after they leave the ranch.

Mike is having this grand mental breakdown and Helen and Eric do their best to put his mind at ease. His goal is still so far away and it’s giving him so much anxiety about working out. While working out with Bob, Mike loses his shit while Bob is singing his praises. He let’s out a lot of stress and goes back int he gym and works it out!

The challenge is the put the weight back on challenge from season season’s ago. The winner gets $10,000! They have to go through an obstacle course, through the weeks dropping off the weight they lost every week. Mike and Ashley can barely even pull their bags, imagine having that on you? Geez. Daris kills it and wins but they all feels like their literally got that weight off their shoulders. Yay emotional growth! Daris gets the choice to trade in his money for a one pound advantage and duh, he takes it.

For some reason, Tony Romo shows up in Wal-Mart? This show sometimes, what. They go for a run? Really.

The Bob takes Daris into a room and shows him what he used to look like? I can’t. I think they get it. They were fat and now they’re not as fat. They do this for all the contestants, I think. I fast forwarded through this (thanks to DVR, I owe you one).

Dr. Huizenga makes his final appearance this season and meets with Mike. Mike basically demolished any chance of stroke due to his weight and his actual age dropped almost 20 years. I don’t think he will win this season, but damn he’s going to do great.

Last chance workout and the contestant reflect on how far they’ve come and are pumped to get their hardest workout yet. It’s nice that they’re can be so proud of themselves but someone is still going home…

At weigh-in, Mike loses 12 pounds, setting a record for the first contestant to lose over 200 pounds on the ranch. Koli loses 13, guaranteeing his place in the final four and all he can says is he wishes Sam was there. Dependent much? Daris loses ten, pushing Mike further down that list. Ashley doesn’t reach her goal though, so Mike is safe and it comes down the either Ashley or Sunshine. Sunny only loses two pounds, Sunshine goes on home. She looks good and hopes to lose some more before the finale.
