The Big Bang Theory: The Staircase Implementation

I have to say I’m a little confused by this episode. The second to last of the season and we get some fluff piece about how the elevator broke? I am not impressed Chuck Lorre.

That’s basically it, folks. We get some laffs at how Leonard had to pass through “barriers” to get his room in Sheldon’s apartment, their old neighbor, the roommate contract. We get to see how often Sheldon is wrong though. Firefly most definitely did not last forever and Zune’s are the iPod’s red headed stepchild.

Some things have not changed, Howard’s mother is still a pain and he hasn’t grow out of his dickey phase after seven years. Raj’s understanding of English slang has improved as well as Leonard’s ability to get girls outside of Korean spies.

The story of the elevator breaking is basically all Leonard’s fault. He was showing how he makes rocket fuel or something like that (I’m not so smart, see) and it goes terribly wrong. He was going to bring it down in the elevator but Sheldon has him leave it, as he would’ve blown up. Sheldon covers for him, so Leonard decided to stay since Sheldon turns out to be loyal even if his rules are ridiculous.

We get a better understanding of the Leonard/Sheldon relationship and Leonard got a man’s mani/pedi. We all win here.

A few loose ends from the roommate contract:

“That’s Latin for my chair, my rules.”
    “You are people…aren’t you?”
    “Tushie is buttocks, right? Hehe…hilarious!”
“Don’t make me turn that flag upside down…because you know I’ll do it!”
