Community: Pascal’s Triangle Revisited

More like Everybody Loves Jeff.

Jeff says hi to all of the auxiliary characters on the show this season, including Vaughn who is apparently still with Annie. Jeff decides everyone has to go to the transfer dance, later renamed tranny dance because Britta was nominated as “Transfer Queen”. John Oliver is back as the free therapist for the students, and Britta isn’t a fan. Apparently all year she’s been seeing him for guidance and just now realized he sucks. Professor Slater wants to get back together with Jeff, but Jeff isn’t sure. This leads to Slater and Britta being catty with each other in Jeff’s presence. Oh yeah, this is definitely a season finale.

Vaughn gets a shot at being in a big hackeysack team in Delaware. Annie decides to live in the moment and move to Delaware with him. John Oliver has some fun with Senor Chang now that he’s a student verbally abuses him. Chang wants to physically abuse him but is reminded he’d get expelled for punching a professor.

Troy keeps dropping hints to Abed that he wants to move in with him next semester but Abed seems to not get the message. Meanwhile Pierce reminds Troy and the audience the two of them were designed to be buddies back since the pilot episode before the writers realized Abed was a more natural verbal sparring partner. After Pierce invites him to move in with him and his mansion, he confronts Abed. Abed explains he thinks it would ruin the friendship if they moved in. Troy gets sick while eating a cookie 60 inches in diameter that says “congra-tran-lations” and realizes too much of a good thing is bad! He agrees to move in with Pierce where he is informed he’ll need to be fitted for a uniform. Oh you racist…

Britta wins as Tranny Queen. Whoops, psyche, he was naming the nominees. When she sees Slater kissing Jeff she takes the dean’s microphone and announces her love for Jeff. Silence. Senor Chang then yells to Britta that her lipstick looks good. Jeff, in front of the entire dance, announces he can’t decide between Britta and Slater, who also announced she loves him. John Oliver as Professor Duncan drunkenly raps, and gets suspended for it. Chang has his chance and beats him with a roll of quarters.

Outside Jeff spots Annie walking back to campus. Jeff says Slater makes him the guy on New Years Day, Britta makes him feel like the guy three weeks later who gave up on those unrealistic resolutions. Then Jeff and Annie start making out. Season over.

Um…

Most of the episodes this year were playful in its parodies of television tropes, but tonight’s episode felt too much like a “fuck you to the “traditional” season finale with that ending, and sadly ends my favorite new show of this season on a sour note.

P.S.

Troy thinks the jump the shark episode of “Happy Days” was the best episode of “Happy Days”.
The dean and dalmation costumes. Ew.

Things To Say With The Dean’s Microphone

“I hope he transferred to hell.”
“Don’t wear as much lipstick as you did on Valentine’s Day: your mouth look liked a coin purse.”
“Extra strength vitamin duh.”
“Bye. See ya. Lates.”
“Who has your car keys?” “In the taco meat.”
“You look great. Very fatal attraction.”
“Bring Conan back!”
“Am I black boobs?”
“Do you try to evolve, or do you try to know who you are?”
