So here we are: the final episode of Better Off Ted. Sort of – ABC still holds in their Mickey Mouse hands two more episodes that were produced, but they haven’t decided when to air them, if at all. Ruh oh. It’s looking like either those moments of comedy goodness will show up in the summer with the rest of the bastard TV shows or appear exclusively on the DVD. So basically, tonight was it. Probably. I’m a commitaphobe. Don’t try and tie me down ladies. Read more…
Better Off Ted: “The Impertence of Communicationizing” and “The Long and Winding High Road”

There were a few tweetie tweets coming from Alan Sepinwall’s Blackberry at the TCA (Television Critics Association) meeting earlier today that suggests Better Off Ted may go the way of the Conan bird. Sepinwall quotes ABC President Steve McPherson:
McPherson: “We have obviously been disappointed” with the way Ted & Scrubs have performed. Doesn’t feel they’re compatible with Wed shows. link
McPherson hopes Scrubs/Ted have potential to grow, “but I’m not going to lie and say the numbers have been really encouraging for us.”link

Better Off Ted: “Beating A Dead Workhorse”, “Change We Can’t Believe In”

Better Off Ted: Battle of the Bulbs
Khandi Alexander! She was in Newsradio! That was the first show that I watched and thought, “oh wow I am totally smarter than the average American watching this critic darling of a show. It’s been on so many different days and times, I am an Advanced human being who can track it down. This show is so rewarding!” Khandi was in that! And tonight she played Lem’s mother, who happened to be dating his donut stealing, bitch slapping opponent at the Veridian offices. Lem’s disgust with this disappeared into the background however once Lem’s lifelong issue of never getting his intellectual, successful scientist mother to take his experiments seriously cropped up.
