Scrubs (Med School): Our Thanks

This is it: the final episode of Scrubs (Med School). Considering how wonderful and kind of perfect the finale was last year and that Mitch Lawrence, the creator/executive producer/grand poomba of the franchise didn’t even bother writing this episode, I guess last night’s season finale of technically a spin-off show isn’t that big of a deal. But with the ratings continuing to not be impressive, this might have been the final twenty-two minutes of watching Dr. Perry Cox and Dr. Christopher Turk in action, and that is a sad thing. Scrubs (Med School): Our Driving Lessons

Oh my god, I remember this show! This was the penultimate episode of Scrubs, unless it gets renewed, which is sort of unlikely. But people assumed it wouldn’t come back last year either. Basically, nobody knows anything. Read more…

Scrubs (Med School): Our Stuff Gets Real

Some quotes from ABC President Steve McPherson:

McPherson: “We have obviously been disappointed” with the way Ted & Scrubs have performed. Doesn’t feel they’re compatible with Wed shows. link
McPherson hopes Scrubs/Ted have potential to grow, “but I’m not going to lie and say the numbers have been really encouraging for us.”link

So tonight might be the fifth to last episode of Scrubs. Again. But free will is a Hallmark myth ladies and germs, and this is a universe that takes things linearly. So onward we go…

Scrubs (Med School): Our New Girl-Bro

"Did you just say my poison dance is only 'pretty good'!?"

This was more like it. Tonight we spent 22 minutes without J.D. and with Coxie, Turk and the new gang. I didn’t keep track exactly but I’m pretty sure each character dealt with at least three of the other characters. “Our New Girl-Bro” had three stories playing out, with all of the characters making an appearance in each of them; a hallmark of a great “Scrubs” episode.

Scrubs (Med School): Our Mysteries

Zach Braff ponders how stupid the puny journalist person is

Let’s say you’re at a party, and you would prefer to throw up in your own home than in a strange exotic bathroom; you hug your friends good night and venture off towards the car or subway. But then you realize you forgot something, and you come back. That’s always awkward right? Well imagine it’s a going away party being thrown in your honor. Because you’re moving to Indonesia (you’re 98 percent sure it’s a legit enterprise you’re getting yourself into). You even shed a tear as you’re hugging and kissing your friends goodbye as it dawns on you you may not see these people for a very long time. How awkward would it be if you left and realized you forgot something then? So awkward you probably wouldn’t even bother coming back. Of course, iPod’s aren’t cheap…fuck it, you’re going back in there.
